Most horses in my 40 odd years of experience have not had an adverse reaction to barley. D&H Barley Rings consist of cooked barley and cooked linseed. They are highly digestable and are a conditioning feed , fed at not more than 1kg per horse per day so forage intake can be maximised. They are balalnced with vits and mins and their mineral content is correct for the horse, so they wont cause an inbalance in the diet. They are an excellent conditioning feed in my experience and have never caused any of mine to fizz up. I have owned many horses of all types over the years including arabians kept fit for endurance events and also youngstock. I specialise in breaking and schooling and endurance .Horsesforever have you ever tried to ride/handle a tb who reacts to barley?
Of course there is always the chance that a horse may react adversly to a feedstuff, but it does tend to be rather rare.
