Is this horse trotting "funny"

I couldn't watch the video as my stupid pc won't let me but Bess looks a lovely mare from the pics.I love the comment on the bottom about timewasters and day trippers.
ETA can't tell if she is lame but she does seem cheap being as its a dealer selling her.

my computer wouldnt let me watch it either

Can't really tell - it might help if they had put someone who can actually ride, on the back of this horse. My eyes were totally drawn to their flumping around on the horse's back, to be able to focus on the horse.

a dealer who has at lest 3 other horses for sale as well all very good prices. In the vid she is trotting across uneven ground but looks a bit odd. My daughter says she looks like a pantomime horse in the video

I know, but that sort of makes me think might be OK for a real beginner.

I actually quite like this horse as a prospect. He may well be decent for a beginner. I am really not sure whether he is actually unsound or if he just needs muscling up and taught to work correctly?

I've just watched it again and no I am not convinced he is unsound. It actually looks like he is dragging himself with his front end and not working his rear end correctly.

I think with a bit of time and proper training, this horse could be a good buy. Mind you, sometimes they aren't nearly so nice in real life

Moves a bit like Patches!

Gosh....now I'm worried that if I put a video up of her trotting everyone would say she's lame even though I've had her checked out by a vet and her movement has been declared as "just her way of going".

to me it just seems like she's just taking very short strides, is unabalanced and not really engaging her behind. I suspect with some work building muscle and relaxing her over her back her stride will lengthen and her head won't be "lolling around" so much. A balanced rider would help too!

I meant to say in my other post that I was more put off with how the horse was standing in the top pic than the video. I thought my horse was sickle hocked but this horse is just standing very strange. Certainly doesn't do the horse any justice that pic.

I don't think the horse is unsound just not connected from leg to hand. If you watch the foot falls they are pretty even but sh elooks a little bridle lame. Ideal for a novice I would think.

Impossible to tell from that as most of the time thehorse looked like it had 8 legs! The movement did not look smooth, but with her throwing her head around this could be why she looks unlevel. And particularly not helped by the rider. Completely not worth putting this video on an ad as all it can possibly do is put people off!!!

Not right front or back. Stiff on one hind and poss lame on one fore. Useless video as this could be a really nice horse for someone.

HHmmmm !!! i just carnt make my mind up about that horse ...... maybe like everyone else has said ... uneven ground. best to go and have a look for yourself . ull soon pick up if somethings not right when your riding it .

Good luck
