Hi my mare usually gets a bit of sunburned in the summer but i usually prevent it and never have any trouble i went away on holiday and left her with my sharer when i came back she had been burnt so i cleaned it out and put cream on left her in and it seemed ok so i put her back out. anyway we had a bit of awful weather and when i bought her in her leg was scabby and looked like mud fever this is 5 days on looking a heathier but just wondering do you think it is mud fever ? and does it take this long to heal ? and just a bit of general information on any good tips to help i have been bathing it and picking scabs off the ones in the pic are really hard and not budging. and then putting antiseptic cream on.
Should i keep her in or put her out in the dry weather she prefers to be out.
Please no nasty comments i am asking for a bit of help.
Thank you. x
