I noticed on my new pony the depression at the top of the tail. Now the pony isnt massively overweight, it doesnt hurt him at all, he is moving fine, but I was wondering if anyone knew what it was?

Thanks

Hmmm. Judging by the teeny fat wrinkles also visible at the tail root I'd say ned is busy working up an apple bum of his very own! I wouldn't worry about the depression but just keep an eye on his weight - from bitter experience I know it's much much easier to never let a horse or pony get fat than it is to try to shift the fat after it's happened. Cute bum by the way lol x

I was hoping thats all it was. Ive just bought/rescued him. He was turned out in a 40 acre field and hadnt been caught in weeks... Hes with me now, on a diet and exercise regime :O)
