Was reading the story on the homepage about a shire mare fostering a lusitano colt and it has all turned out great but colt owners have said they will send her back in foal to their lusitano stallion. Is this not a very odd cross?

I had some neighbours who used to cross spanish horses with a percheron, they called the product a Norman Horse. They said it would make a good driving horse, or heavyweight hunter.

I am pretty sure that a member on here breeds this cross, cannot for the life of me remember their name though:(

I think this cross is called a Spanish Norman.

And yes, there is someone on here who breeds them, but I can't remember her name either - something with 'silver' in it, I think, but I could well be wrong...

the iberian cross percheron is a well known successful cross usually with a lighter percheron mare.
the iberian horses have been infused into many now pure breeds over the centuries and this makes them compatible for cross breeding with quite a few breeds
