You need to send it to whatever passport authority issued it (eg KWPN) and get his name put on it and get your details put on it as the owner. I had to pay about £40 i think to get Archie's name on his and my details as the owner when i sent it back to the KWPN.

Contact the issuing authority and they will tell you what to do.

Vicki, it's probably that they haven't given your horse a registered/competition name so it's up to you! I was in the same boat and it's so hard to think of a few really good ones. Good luck!

My Haflinger name was blank. She was passported in Germany at 6 months old - so I guess she wasn't named then.

But when I contacted the Studbook - she did have a name registered with them.
