is this over priced?

Bluergh bluergh bluergh at the chestnut - look at the poor things neck!

Your friend could either get similar for a hell of a lot less, or a serious upgrade in quality and standard for the same money.

She doesnt look quite ready to come into that sort of outline, but she looks like she has a lot of potential..

Do agree though shopping around is a better idea!

Judging by these prices I will put my unbroken filly up for £10,000 as I am sure she will be great!!

Why have horse prices gone so nuts!!!

SHe can have a "fashionable" coloured gelding for a mere 10k if she has that sort of money

Yes I do thinkthey are very much overpriced...nice horses though

She can buy my mare for £15k if shes so desperate to buy a young unproven horse for silly monney! Sorry but thats insane how much they are asking for these 2 unproven 6 year olds!

You'd surely need some proven record of success to justify that price, for all you know they may never have jumped if they're claiming it's done unaffiliated!

Both horses look like they have had gadgets on to pull them in .I think if they had been out competing and winning then they could command those prices. They are worth looking at and if they are nice then an offer could be accepted.
If they are VERY nice and straightforward and your friend has the ability and doesn't worry about paying well then they may be just right for her.
Paying a couple of thousand extra is worth it if you have the money and it is the right horse with no vices

Both of these horses have been up for sale for a LONG time, so if your friend did like either one of them then she should certainly put in a lower offer. I'm not really sure about either horse to be honest, as someone else said they do look like they've had a few gadgets on and knowing what that can do to a young horse in the wrong hands I don't think I would be interested because of it.

Definately over priced for what they are/have done etc.....

Comparison.... take a look on Assouline Dressage Horse for Sale.... all the horses listed on their web page are £10k or over and at least they are proven stock!

I brought on a horse for someone last year, and nearly fell over when she asked £12k for him. He was 5 and similarly unproven in competition. My number was put on the ad - I think I had 4 calls, 3 of which were other confused owners of similar horses asking if I'd been able to sell him! Needless to say he didn't sell. I told her to take him back and I saw him readvertised a few months later for £8.5k and I know he didn't sell then either.

Yes I think it is given that it is unproven, but unfortunately it's not uncommon to see flashy well-bred horses with lots of 'potential' advertised at these sorts of prices! Personally I wouldn't pay any more than £7/8k for something that didn't have any competition record, and it would have to be seriously nice!!! I sold my 7 year old for just over what this horse is advertised for - and he was competing at intermediate novice BE and had a proven novice record.

Overpriced bigtime!! With affiliated record, that's a joke! If your friends has that much money to spend, I would advise her to look elsewhere!

Overpriced in my opinion, for that sort of money i would want results affiliated dressage and maybe BSJA also. look like nice horses but think your friend could get more for her money if they are looking to spend that much
