I have been looking every day at the ten day weather forecast. It has rained every day for over 3 weeks now and shows rain every day for the full ten day forecast! I am so peed off. We have loads of grass but can't get the horses out on it. They are back to their 3 hour turnout shifts in the sand manege. We can't get the mare and foal out today at all due to the severe wind and monsoon conditions. Mare goes loopy in the wind and she is stressed enough with her new foal as it is. Foal booted me in the knee cap today when we were trying to get them out. :o

Does anyone know if there will be an end to this?

I hope so our bottom barn flooded to day I'm sick the place looks like a paddy field the building work has stopped.my school is waterlogged which rarely happens but the field below is like a lake and the water can't get out of the school . A friend horses face a night in a lay by in the lorry after the environment agency said she had two hours before the river adjoining her stables and fields broke its bank
Stop stop .

Blimey it looks as though we have had it easy here. It has rained incessantly up until today but the fields are fine and we've turned out everyday. The sand school was flooded towards the bottom end, but we did ride today at the top end.
Wagtail you must be oven ready:D:(

 Hoping your friend can find refuge in someone's stables :o

My parents do the horses in the morning (a case of making sure they have 4 legs each - no more :D - and giving a token feed) and my dad, as it was nice took all their rugs off, I can't blame him - but a couple of the horses were a little shivery this evening, as the rest of the down the rain has been incessant. Soggy horses got a nice dinner and some rugs, and all toddled back off to eat quite happily, although I did start to see some fins developing on them before more rain! :D

This is what its been like today near me - this weather station is in the next village - we've had more rain in a day than the monthly average for april!

I am pinning my hopes on the Metcheck forecast - it is claiming that from next mid week the rain will be gone and we will have the sun back.

Unforunately the Metcheck long term forecast is not hugely reliable, but anything for a glimmer of hope.....

Have you seen what is on ITV at 7.30 this evening "Is Britain Running Dry??" rather badly timed, even the hosepipe ban must be irrelevant at the moment.

Oh I do hope it's right. I have a litter of pups due in a week and was hoping at least some of the horses would be out 24/7 before I am into supplementary puppy feeding. :o

Ours are still on winter paddocks - most are flooded in parts. My boy has a lovely lake in the middle of his now & aswell as the 10 ducks that have now moved in, we had 2 geese this morning too :(
