Is this rug sellable ?

I'm not advertising the rug through this post just want to know if it would be worth advertising it for sale or binning it ! Please don't send me a warning HHO !!!

I have a HW stable rug I am thinking about selling, the thing is looks brand new on the outside (only worn twice & cleaned) no stains, marks, tears etc. Like new, but a mouse has found it's way in in the inside and there are several mouse holes in the inside lining :mad: There are also specs of rust marks everywhere in the whole inside of the rug.

Would is still be worth advertising it ? It cost me a fortune when I bought it and it has been used only 2 or 3 times, was left in a bag in the tack room for years.. :(
 
Yes, I would sell it, it can be repaired and someone is always looking for a bargain! I sold my HW Weatherbeeta turnout that had mouse holes in it and people bid over £50 on it!
 
Yes, people on eBay will literally buy anything! I wouldn't mind a few holes, they can be repaired and people always like to have spares. You'll probably be surprised how much it fetches I'd be curious to know!
 
Most definitely sellable, get it washed to clean away any mouse urine. My friend repairs rugs and does a neat job of the insides of them, someone somewhere will want it.
 
I would advertise it, take pictures and be honest. Don't expect hundreds of pounds but by the sounds of it it can be repaired or used as a spare by someone.
 
Of course it will sell - there are some very strange people out there that will buy anything! I sold a hat cover that was a cow (joke present one year), complete with tassly black mane and it sold for £15 :eek:
