ok so my heavy cob last summer started to rub half way down his mane and his ears, he actually rubbed the base of his ears raw so i treated him for sweet itch added garlic to his feed and monitored him
he was itchy everywhere all summer and autumn
all winter he wouldnt wear a rug think he was too hot which then made him itchy
stopped feeding him garlic in the summer as he seemed to itch more it made no difference so I took the fast fibre out of his diet this didnt alter it neither did removing readigrass
he has no w this laste week started mane and head rubbing again and is really scurffy in theses areas and begining to rub away the hair
i have started him on brewers yeast
could this be sweet itch? and if so what the best way to mange it hes never had this problem till last year and hes 14 yrs now
he is on hay with a 1/4mug fast fibre and 1 scoop mollichop brewers yeast, and naf general purpose supplement
thanks for your help
