Is this the foal moving?

I have posted this in breeding but thought some of you on here may know also
What does it look like when the foal moves inside the mare? I saw a friends mare and it looked like she was shivering but inside just around her tummy area.
It was kind of like a fluttering just behind her ribcage.

It might be a stupid question but having never seen it before we just wondered if we were seeing the foal moving.
