He just said that we need to discuss things next time I want to buy anything
I think he's quite chuffed at having a Lamborghini.

Something that used to work well on my first husband was to tell him something was double the price that it really was. Then when he did the "WHAT????? HOW much???" spiel, you could then tell him "Ack, no, actually... it was only... £££" so you are telling him the real price and then to him it won't seem so bad

(PS That's not the reason we're no longer married either! )

I tell my OH the truth. He actually likes it cos when he comes home and says he's spent £1000 on a new guitar I don't bat an eyelid cos I've spent 4 x times that on saddles in last 2 years. He says you can never shock a horsey person with how expensive something is Love the saddle!!!! Wish I needed a new saddle!!
