Yup, rode Ari today and OH on FB. Both behaving like nutters. Ari is normally very laid back but he was like a thing posessed today - I wish I could make him do the things he was doing today, we could clean up at a dressage competition!

Porridge went nuts on the lunge today! She did about 18 circuits at an uncontrolled canter interspersed with almighty bucks. I asume it was because she went hunting on Weds and is feeling happy

YES !- every year once he has been clipped he starts acting like a 3 year old! My friends horse is exactly the same at the moment aswell - so your definately not alone!

Glad someone else has the same problems! Mine has started to lunge and then tonight, when he was brought in for his dinner, was so stressed because someone nearby had smoke from their bonfire he wouldn't eat his food, poohed all over his stable and weed and was so silly I turned him b out without his rug on! (Nasty cruel mum! )

Funny you should say that, as the old girl today behaved like a total maniac. Went to put on her head-collar so that I could groom her and she said 'NO WAY' and charged off into the manege! I would mention here that she doesn't do moving about much these days. She then proceeded to buck & f**t and piaffe and passage and capriole.......she is nearly 24 and is semi-retired!!

She eventually returned to me, slightly sweaty but back-to-normal-state! I just wish that she would move like that with me on board.........or maybe not?

Oh yes - my pony tried to buck my daughter off last week, and today he did a handstand that left me stuck in front of the saddle, draped up his neck, with my hands braced behind his ears - very dignified!
