Ok picture the scene, early sunday morning Pidge tied up, me crouched down getting plaiting bands out of grooming kit, Pidge trying to give me groomies, me saying "go away I'm busy and running late and you're not plaited yet" next second I think hmmm that doesn't feel like his muzzle on my back........... little bugger only had his hoof in the middle of my back to try to get my attention

cheeky horse!
Does your horse do anything really cheeky?

Yes mine is a cheeky so and so and will give you a good nudge up the bum if you are not quick enough mixing his tea bucket...but I think finding a hoof on my back would be one step to far for me! He is not that cheeky obviously!

mine is so cheeky its untrue and its heightened by the fact that he has one blue cheeky devil eye and one butter wouldnt melt eye. he does so many cheeky things i cant list them but i know when the oh starts to get cross, my boy does something cheeky in the nick of time that saves the day and gets the love back!!

Where would I start. Not sure if he is cheeky or naughty really. People either love him or hate him.

Couple of examples, got hungry one night (plenty of hay, but not what he wanted obviously), so took out door frame and worked his way around yard eating everyones breakfast.

Got bored in stable one morning and tried to jump out, 2 fire engines later and he is free.

Gets bored in field, will just walk through fence and come up to say hi! Need i go on?

Yes - Chancer likes to pull my top up and lick my back when I pick out his feet if I take too long. He is known as littlist gitus to many - he loves attention and will do anything to get it, but all are nice methods.

Cairo is cheeky too. Knows how to train little kids to feed him and gets away with murder.

YES! if I tie Lance in front of a fence he will climb up it, as in have his front hooves on the rails, if he feel she isnt getting any attention or food!

he also looks for things to knock off (as demostrated in clip below).first he tries to lift the fence out, that wont work so he decides to knock things off!

He will nudge you if you arent giving him attention or food, and also pulls rugs off with his front legs to get attention , and tries to eat whatever he can, lead ropes etc, all so you will come and see him!

yep i could be here all day

izzy:
undoes velco on my chaps, tries to pull my boots of if im sitting in her stable, fights over the chip basket, sits on the bench at the pub, spins the big pub umbrellas around, sits on my wheel barrow, pokes vet in the back of the knee with her front feet( you know the pressure point that makes your leg just "go") climbes the gate, climbs the stable door, puts feet in water bucket, stands in the road for 10 minutes tapping the man hole cover, licks my bum when i am picking her feet out making me look like i have wet myself (does the same to farrier as well as raiding his pockets and giving him kisses while hes tring to put shoes on her...... i am not going to waste anymore of your time she is just too cheeky

these have made me lol in the office

Pidge also unties himself by getting the whole knot in his mouth and works it round till undone - I stand there watching him and he continues but just looks at me out of the corner of his eye

He also helps with the mucking out and poo picking, but his help is more of a hinderance as he ferrets the stuff back out of the barrow

Our pony is VERY cheeky, he unties himself but if you catch him doing it he stops and waits till you've walked away so he can carry on , he rests his head on farriers back and nodds off, he will ferret through carrier bags and eat everything in it,the list is endless, he's very cute though so he always avoids being told off !!

My old pony used to take my baseball cap off my head and drop it in the muddiest possible place - I swear he did it on purpose!

My gelding is a terrible attention seeker and gets quite cross if I dare to speak to another horse - bangs the door and shakes his head at me. He's also discovered how to get the lid of his bucket of treats, so frequently helps himself whilst my back is turned.

My mare does the old "you groom me and I'll groom you back" thing, but before too long she can't resist a quick nip. She also makes her mind up that she's not going out of her stable from time to time and is impossible to catch.
