Is your horse out in this thunder and lightning?

yes- 2 of mine were out, I don't worry too much they've been there and seen that and take no notice, both are native types anyway and it's NOT COLD!!! I cannot belive the amount of natives i have seen rugged to the eyeballs in the middle of july because it's raining - quite ridiculous.

I put my two out this morning in the pouring rain with no rugs - they weren't bothered in the slightest and just started grazing as normal - However, when the storms start (which is forecast) I will bring them in as the little one goes mental and starts herding H about and kicking out at her - last storm he kicked her leg and made a pretty nasty gash which left her lame for a week - so I can't risk that happening again

what eva the weather does mine keep to the routin otherwise i thing that streses them out more. One is out in the day and comes in at night and the other one is out 24/7 352 days a year and thats how she likes it of course i still worry about them but that is because i am there mummy!

Mine was/is out, though he's staying in tonight (to save sharers feet getting muddy going to field!). Before I got him, he'd lived his entire life in one field. He'll be fine

Mine are out and naked (it's not cold after all) and having been out in the field with them in a storm (don't ask), know they don't give a c**p. It really doesn't bother them. There is a lightening conductor not far from us so am not worried. Horses that have trees to shelter under are a concern in lightening, otherwise not normally a prob.

Wandering about during a thunderstorm!

I'd be more concerned about my own safety, or perhaps some people think they are immune from lightening strikes!

My 2 were out last night - we didn't have thunder and lightning, but I would prefer them to be out in the field rather than them panicking in the stable.

We did have a lot of rain last night - but my lot aren't sugar lumps, and they won't dissolve

i have fetched my old pony in as it has not stopped raining since last night and she was standing shaking under the big tree in her field
