Thanks everyone - he's a complete dude. Nothing fazes him. My non horsey husband wondered jokingly whether it would constitute horse abuse, but I think this sort of thing is brilliant for expanding their education and de-spooking. Ah, he is not a flood tourist, he's willing to get his feet wet and actually wade in and help. Well, wade in and see whether anyone has anything interesting for him to nose at.
