Hi
Anyone had/uses the Isabell wintec dressage saddle? or the Pro Dressage saddle ? any good? I am currently using a Wintec pro jumping saddle and am pleasantly surprised with how comfortable it is.
I am living in Germany at the moment and it is relatively difficult to get any eventing stuff here, and when you can it is expensive. Would like to get some N.E.W boots (the fleece Max performance ones - Mickey is 'super' sensitive and everything without fleece rubs !) but am getting contradictory advice regarding what the sizing come up like. Mickey is a 16.2 Trakehner (looks very TB like) with a little over 8" bone.. am thinking that medium look to be best.. but on some websites these are quoted as medium (cob).... as I need to get via internet, I have no chance to see them properly to judge for myself and do not really want to have to return them.
Any info would be very much appreciated :-)
regards from a Non eventing part of Germany :-)

I can comment on the Wintecs - I have a Pro and I like it, not bad for a cheap saddle. The Isabell I love, it's much deeper than the Pro and I find it more comfortable and easier to ride in. I would highly recommend that you try one before you buy though - people usually split into two schools of thought on Isabells, one lot loathe them and find they are too restrictive, tip you forwards, and are generally uncomfortable. The other lot (like me) love them, love the secure feeling of being held in place, and find them very comfortable.

I have no experience on the saddle but have NEW boots for my boy.

Mine is 14.2 and I bought him a small sized pair and they only fit his hind legs as too long for the fronts. He normally wears cob sized boots on the back legs so personally I think the NEW boots come up quite big. I really like them, they are lightweight, hard wearing and wash up lovely everytime.

ive got NEW lightweight, (not fleecy) -medium fitted my 15.2 mare perfectly, she was quiet light framed
they are now used on my 16.2 sports horse, who is quiet chunky, yet the medium still fit perfectly adequately

I have an Isabell and they are so comfy and really gives you that secure feeling

Would definately recommend trying one

My son bought a Hannovarian with his Isobel Werth wintec dressage saddle. He found it very compfortable it was the first synthetic saddle we have ever had. We were surprised at the comfort etc.

I love my Isabell dressage. Fits my horse (not an easy task, we discovered!) and is nice and deep. Suede is handy on a spooky one such as mine for extra grip.

I absolutely love my Isabell Werth far better than my Wow saddle, it is so light for the horse to carry and puts you in a great position. I have put it on many of my pupils horses and they are usually amazed at the way their riding improves over one session in it.
