Hi
Just looking for some advice. I have an ISH mare which I want to breed from this year. I would like to go to the dressage route and pick a nice dressage stallion but just don't know where to start looking. I'm in Ireland and don't mind if I have to buy chilled/frozen semen. Anyone have pros and cons with this. Can anyone recommend a stallion or should I just look and some of the top stallions
Any advice would be great as I need to get moving on this.
Thank in advance Pipi

If your looking for stallions in Ireland, there is stallion parade in Cavan with the Irish Horse Board. Don't know when it is but it is a good opportunity to see a few stallions in the flesh. I went to the stallion parade at Necarne and ended up being put off a few of the stallions based on their movement. Have a look at Ballintaggart stud (link http://www.ballinteggartstud.com) (includes creevagh) they seem to have a few good sport horse stallions including an international dressage horse Jaywalker who has fabulous movement. Ask around at your dressage competitions to see if there is any dressage stallions. I know at NID there is Obelix (fab looking horse) although I do not know any details of where he is standing.

Forgot about Gee Appollo. He had a lovely jump and very nice movement and looked like he was a lot of fun. He is currently with Joanne Jardin.

Colleen, I can't remember seeing him but I looked at the website and he seems lovely a good jump and nice movement. What I am looking for at the moment.
