I bought my new boy last week who has arrived with a green passport. He is DNA tested and chipped (his chip matches that in his passport which was a positive start
) but he is a 'horse with no name'. He has a foal number and his only registered owner is his breeder.
My understanding is that I need to a) register myself as new owner and b) send off the form with 4 names to have him named (obviously sending his passport to Horse Sport Ireland after taking photocopies) with appropriate fees. Is this correct?
Any suggestions for names? He is by Crannagh Hero, out of a Regal Sting mare. Stable name is Smokey (how original for a grey
) I was thinking Overdraught
Piccy below (I hope as am a Photobucket numpty) He's also on left hand side with mad ex-racer who looks as if butter wouldn't melt

Thanks all and hot chocolate with marshmallows on offer as it's a cold and wet Sunday morning
