Left home 7am, desperately trying to keep the lorry on the road in strong winds, driving across the fen road with the big ditches either side was scary.

Willough first in dressage, couldn't hear the bell and had to go and ask the judge, Bee got flustered and immediately went wrong, lovely kind judge sorted her out.

Did a good test (struggled to get under 40 last year) to score 38.5, got blown right off the centre line in one gust.

Floss dressage, warmed up well despite the best efforts on one pro rider to barge her sideways.

Started off well but in her first canter a huge gust coaught her right up her bottom and she went leaping and bouncing off, Bee yanked her round rather inelegantly and just managed to stay in the arena but on the wrong leg.

She was then somewhat tense for the rest of the test.

Both jumped DC SJ and XC within the time.

Willough came 7th in her section (mistake was costly reckon she would have been 4th without it)

Floss I think was low teens in hers, pleased with her though, aim was to get round without E.

Bit confused about the judges comments for Floss though - A dissapointing test - how did it dissapoint?
It is the partnerships first BE event, how is the judge dissapointed? I was quite pleased considering she nearly got blown off her feet?

That judge was harsh with quite a few scores in the 50's, she was obviously not making any consessions for the weather.

Brilliant, what a lovely start to the season

Wind was horrid today

Well Done, you must be really pleased. What class were you in?

Maybe the dressage judge meant disappointing as she could she Floss could do a better test without the wind?

Biggest dissapointment of the day was finding that the lovely Dominic Ruane is in fact going bald!

LMAO! Naw, I remember when I first saw him without a hat, I was disappointed too. He is def a guy you'd wanna keep his hat on

They had to build the course without fillers, the wings are quite open ones. Only filler they could use was a little picker fence one.

We have PN at Oasby next week then both up to JRN at Gt Witch.

Fantastic start to season! Cant ask for more than 2 DC's

Sure the dressage for Floss will get better, not much fn with the weather how it is at the mo!!

Judge obviously liked big moving horses, she peed off in medium in her working across diagnol, and got a 7 for it. Bee should have ridden whole test in medium then!

Oh WOW!! 2 DC's!! Bee must be well chuffed, as must you! WIsh I had been able to come over, but hey ho...
