We'll be coming over to have a look round and scare the girls silly! Daughter is scared stiff of Isleham having had a bad experience with our nutty little cob there. She's since been round on my boy safely and clear (and I've been round on the nutty cob, clear too) but she feels it's all a bit too scary. She was supposed to be riding there this year but decided not to.
Me me me!!! Am very excited, or is it nervous - I always get those two mixed up! 32 in Section A and 106 in Section C. Ross (Baydale Kinross - 32) huge bright bay with a penchant for bucking and being rude, Fraser (Amadeus M - 106) chunky dark bay bog pony with a neck like a stallion. Would be good to see anyone else there.
I'm planning on going there tomorrow afternoon rather than walking it by torchlight! I've not got internet access at home otherwise I'd post tomorrow and let you know what the course is like.
Hopefully it hasn't changed too much, have been there many times as it is a local PC course too. Last time there she jumped the Novice track clear in a PC open, it was 30degrees centigrade. Have a feeling it will be a bit colder on Sat. We can't get there on Fri as Bee is at school until 5pm. Looking forward to washing black peat out of everything for weeks to come! Small price to pay for decent going though.
It is a great event. Clem gives all the money to charity.
I couldn't agree more, I'd rather have the run and worry about the washing later, particularly as it's the first event for my two and I want to get it out of the way! Ross is four and three quarters and thinks he knows everything, and Fraser is five and a half and has done nothing but hunt, so methinks I've got my work cut out!
I seem to remember the wind cutting right through me last year, and it was freezing, so soggy and a bit warmer would be an improvement.
My daughter is also doing 11 gcse's it's so hard for her to fit it all in, plus all our JRN's coming so early in the season as well.
I had also assumed that Rosie was a year older that Bee, I suppose because Bee is still on her pony but under new rules the pony can now event to Novice.
She competes against Rosie often, but has yet to beat her.
