I have recently purchased a 2012 iveco horsebox which is an automatic and I put it in to garage to have an isolator fitted . However, the mechanic called me to say he won't do it as is scared that it will damage the ECU . Has anyone any experience of this?

Eh? Can't comment on an Iveco, but we run a fleet of over 100 commercial vehicles. With the exception of one built in the 1960s, all have isolators and ECUs - some have multiple ECUs. Perhaps best to get a commercial auto electrician to do the job.

Thanks for the info. This guy is an auto electrician so I just have to go on what he says . Just said something about potential surge of power maybe frying something. I will try to find a commercial auto electrician but not sure there is one of those in this area ?
