Im looking at a 3.0 TD Duty.

How economical is it? Or not?

Any info greatly received.

not especially economical, but does tow well, and having had both, I would recommend the all terrain tyres if you can get them, road tyres are useless

I had one and it wasn't especially economical but then I didn't expect it to be at that size. Towed really well but it became known as "The Shed" 'cos it was a b***er to park and manoever in our small town so I sold it (had nothing to do with the fact it was a 7 seater and I didn't have 6 friends as was suggested!!!)

How is it on the fuel??

Does around 24 to the gallon around town - so not great.

We have a 3.1TD (for sale incidently!!

) which does around 25 miles to the gallon on short run-around journies, but slightly more on longer, cruising journies.
It does tow REALLY well though, so it's forgiven for its fuel consumption.

We have got one (well mum has as I am too young so dont really have a clue!) but she loves it! And after having so many different vehicles to tow with she likes this one the best and it hasnt broken yet (we seem to be cursed)!

The last girlfriend had 1 and it was excellent for towing and reliable. She lived opposite a fuel station. Draw your own conclusions!
