It’s odd, I never usually wait long after losing a dog before I go to find the next one - it doesn’t mean I love the one I have lost any the less, it simply is the case that there is always some poor soul out there needing some love and a good home.

Today I decided that it was just too soon, and I cancelled my post-lockdown visit to rescue kennels for the time being.

I know I will have another greyhound, probably in the new year, there are an endless stream of youngsters coming in from Ireland now directly to the charity because the greyhound racing body has stopped co-ordinating as it should do. But Ace has left such a massive hole in my life, and I know at the moment I’d resent any new dog for not being him, awful as that is.

And really, four are enough for most people??!!! ????

I won't be surprised if you change your mind, but I can also understand if you at the moment too strongly feel that you wanted the one you had, not a new one.

When it comes to that, I've this far afterwards felt that it happened when it was meant to happen.

Your current quartet is absolutely lovely. {{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}

Lovely to see the pack.Hopefully next year we will return to better days with the arrival,of a vaccine and you will be able to get the new dog straight into the routine he or she will follow,rather than this limited one COVID restrictions forces us into. In the meantime it’s nice to look and hopefully you can share “the maybes “with us?
