Moving my 13 yo Connemara mare to a new yard today.
She can be quite a nervous pony, so I’m worried about how she will handle the change (which won’t help in the slightest ?‍♀️) Thrives on routine, so I’m going to focus on keeping a nice tight routine for her.
Any words of wisdom/ good vibes appreciated. Wondering if I should have a brandy for breakfast!!!

Ime, if you move with her, she will be fine. In fact it helped to settle our first Appaloosa mare when we moved her from the first yard we had her on, whwte she was a nightmare, to another one. It was as if it reassured her that we were still looking after her.
Good luck!

I recommend you put her on aloe vera juice for a month, to help prevent ulcers from the stress. I use 50ml a day on every move like this.
.
The Aloe arrived today (thanks to the wonders of Amazon Prime) and I added the juice to her evening feed. Thanks so much for mentioning this, it's not something that I've heard of before.
