Having mostly hacked, schooled and had a few jumping lessons over the last few years I am now being spoilt by having my lovely trainer and yard pal bring on Olivia while I am not riding. I knew she loved jumping as we had done a little bit before but the most was about a 2ft grid with a small spread involved.....
Today we had some fun in the school and she ended up clearing over a metre. 1.10 to be precise! Just a couple of times as we didn't want to push it but she was absolutely loving it. I really admire my instructor and feel so proud as she is finding Olive to be a very clever and sparky cob and it is very high praise indeed from someone who rides up to GP, I think when I moved to the yard everyone was expecting a happy hacking fatty cob and she is so much more (nothing wrong with happy hacking fatty cobs btw
I'm just saying that there is a lot more than meets the eye with this one)
I am so pleased how she is coming on and it is becoming clearer everyday how much of a bargain I got.
And there was me thinking of giving up.....
