I know this isnt really horsey but needed to feel sad at people who understand...

After losing my two super horsey boys before Christmas I really thought things couldnt get worse....til yesterday..my Standard Poodle girl was hit by a car after our walk and was killed :(:(:(:(:( Devastated doesnt come close, I wish whoever it was that hated me so much would leave me alone now...esp as I lost my Newfoundland puppy from epilepsy in August...just ten days after bringing him home :(

On the plus side I have just last week given a home to a 4 year old brown Newfoundland boy from Newfie Welfare and also 2 Mini Shetlands that needed homes....pics of the Shetties coming soon.

I am so sorry - how awful:(
i hope the new additions will dispel all the sorrow you have had to endure recently.

:( your luck before christmas was as mine was 2012 was not a good year I lost 2 horses and my cat, within 4 months of christmas, The mare of a lifetime 3rd dec:(.

So sorry about your dog, RIP I wont ask how it happend as it would hurt to much. So sending you healing vibes instead and nice to hear a couple good things have happened for you. :(

Oh hunny. So sorry to read of your loss. Sending huge hugs.

It does seem to go in batches - in the space of four months I lost my horse, lost my Mum, my new horse went lame (now a long term issue), and and then my St Bernard to bloat. By the time she went I couldn't cry any more. Carried that loss for a number of years before I could deal with it.

Things will get better, they always do and you have to hold onto that thought somehow.

I an so so sorry for all you have gone through, it takes me to 2008, when my husband was told he had cancer, my young son developed asthmatic symptoms, our lovely little cat was attacked and killed by a dog right in our front garden, and then to top it all my husband died the spring of 2009.
However!!!
Now 2013.... He left us financially ok. We have the horses, rescued an old Tom cat, and got a puppy 2 yrs ago. We coped, it was so tough but here we are, I moved my parents in to help us cope, and we are off to Florida in two weeks....
It may look Grimm at the moment, but I send you hugs and best wishes, I don't know you, but I cried when you posted about your horses.. Xx

It is very very unfair - but whilst you are left with the loss - each and everyone of your animials knew how much they were loved - and that was part of the deal - I am afraid - anything you love has the power to hurt you when they go - but i would rather have my heart broken time and time again rather than be a cold heartless person.

For those that have lost people - I am just so sorry - and for those that have not - pick up your phone or drop by and see them - we all think our parents will be here for ever and we will call them later, and life gets in the way - but please make the most of them whilst they are here - and whilst they know who you are.

God bless

I am so sorry to hear about all your sadness. I followed your thread before Christmas and felt what a tough time you were having and now it got harder. Time will heal and your new pets will help you. Hugs and kisses from us. X

Life seems so unfair sometimes. Thinking of you xx
Try and concentrate now on the newbies and the fun and excitement they will bring (and naughtiness and trouble and escaping and more naughtiness! ;))
Lots of love coming your way xx

I am so sorry:( you have had more than your fair share of sadness these last few months, i hope things can start to look brighter and the new animals in your life can bring you some joy:)

So sorry to hear this it is awful losing an animal let alone 3 and whatever happened to your dog sounds devastating. They say bad things come in threes so that is your lot now. Big hugs x

So sorry to hear about your loss, it will turn round in time, even though right now it feels as if this is all there is and all there will be. There will be better times. :)
