Well the doggy is here (avec free bunny) currently in bed listening to her whining. She has only weed four times on the kitchen floor since we got her home at eight tonight. But only when you call her to you. So just getting used to letting her come to me.
However the tick problem is horrific. As in ahhhh. In clumps of five ish massive and loads of them. We don't know where to start. So trip to the vets asap anyone know what they will do/suggest? We can't get them off because she moves at the speed of light, is there anything available on the market to slow her down while we get on top of them.
Pictures when I get internet back.

I think I'd be inclined to ask the vet to do it. They'll maybe sedate her and get the job done quickly and effortlessly. I'm not 100% as never had to ask a vet to do it before, but I'm sure they would. If not, you mentioned she has a matted coat? would it be worth taking her to a grooming place and getting them to clip her out and do it? I'd hazard a guess that if she has tics she has fleas too :( poor girl, glad she's now with someone who can give her lots of TLC.

We got her shaved when we were looking after her lol welcome home we shaved your dog! Have seen no fleas and haven't been bitten and I am a flea magnet. Def look into vet doing it just so many. Yuck yuck yuck.
Ps whining stopped.
