yup me too, but same old story, its not really the dogs is it, its the people who own them and don't control them.
 
Poor poor pup, such a loving little thing, his ex owner, the torturer, should get the same done to him, but no free treatment on the NHS, waste of money.

i could only bear to watch half of this programme, did notice one thing about all the dog owners but it wouldnt be PC to say it, would it? Should i care that they were Black or coloured people? do they care that they have upset me and you??? No i guess not.

it all seems very like American gangland culture over here. I don't know what the answer to this is, banning dog ownership would deprive the true dog lover of a great deal of pleasure but would protect the dog victims. More police on the streets won't make much difference, it'll just go even more underground.

this country really is going to the dogs. Sorry for ranting, i get so mad at these exposures. wish i'd lived seventy years ago, darling buds of may time !!

It's called a dog liscense........

The organisation is called DEFRA.

The enforcers are called the Police.

It's just an absolulte sham......

And its not all about black culture.
 
i dont know how a dog licence would help? they were abolished years ago, i don't see how it could be enforced, people ignore far more important things, like television licences lol. The Kennel Club are changing laws to make dog breeders meet certain standards but the people supplying these poor dogs wouldn't worry too much about complying with these in my opinion. There is currently a petition on number 10 website about this, i think it is opposing the changes, i do not know much about it at all as i have nothing to do with dog breeding, just dog owning.

Department Environment Food and Rural Affairs..Where does dog fighting fit in there? Should they microchip dogs instead of licence, or passport them like equines? Has passporting horses worked to protect them?

The police cannot respond to women phoning who are being followed then raped or murdered, what priority will they give this? I have seen some posts on here about elderly people being attacked in their homes for very little profit, surely police time/resources will be used on this? Of course if we had several thousand more police on the streets it would help in all aspects of life, but thats one for the government to sort out. don't hold your breath anyone!!

Nothing to do with black culture at all, black culture is varied and has some wonderful aspect, look at their music for an excellent example, or Diversity on BGT, fantastic!! But no one of any race/colour/creed would say dog fighting and abuse was part of their culture and expect it to be accepted in a democratic christian country like ours.

Not culture, but society in general is to blame, every man for himself, no sense of community etc, and i think a general feeling of helplessness. no young person, particularly a young man, should look at a future with such little hope of much improvement in their lives that they have to resort to dog baiting as a way of asserting themselves.

I think myself very lucky to be a country dweller, inner city life is too high pressure, overcrowded and corrupt.

Its getting too late now to write any more, enough to say that i share your revulsion of what is happening to these dogs, i just expanded and gave my opinion.

I am quite new to posting on here, been an occassional reader for a long time but perhaps its a forum more for bringing these horrors to light rather than debate the issue?
