itchy horse

my horse has always been a bit itchy all over all year round but this week he is terrible so bad he has started to rub bald patches on his neck and a sore patch on his bum he went to a new yard last week which he has settled into really well, so his grazing has changed but not his feed think there might be more flies up there but not sure any ideas please before i have a bald neddy

no i dont think so he isnt particularly itching his mane or tail and i have had him for 2 years and never noticed sweet itch he seems to itch all year round

i have a horse that is allergic to most things in life, on the list are various grasses. this could be playing a part??? mine is also allergic to various pollens, so if you have trees etc about it could be a consideration,

ive found that dodson and horell itch free is helping, along with using sweetitch lotion to cool the itching

yes i had bloods done, he was tested on over 70 things...

the main things are.

alfa a pollen
ash mix (tree)
cedar mix (tree)
sycamore (tree)
dog fennel (weed)
mutard pollen
fire ants
dust mites
hornets
horse flys
blue grass
orchard grass
timothy grass
linseed
apples
soya
beet

theres also some moulds., they score it on points, he is also borderline positve on many things. hes reaction to all of these things is to itch!
