Can anyone help? My 11 month old terrier (Lakeland X) has an itch coat and I can't think what could be the problem.

He's been frontlined and wormed, so fleas can't be the problem, and I've shampoo'd him with Tea Tree shampoo, which helped a little.

He's eating Hills Science Puppy mixture and has an active, outdoor life.

Any ideas? He scratched his way all through puppy class last week and it was mega-embarrassing!

Tea Tree can be a bit strong for dogs, use Malaseb.

Probably an allergy.

Discount - diet, tree/grass pollen, carpet, household products, smoke, perfume etc etc etc.

The vet can run tests but these are expensive, try ruling out things yourself first. Vet can also advise on anti-histamines etc.
Try as simple and wheat-free a diet as possible.

My dog has diet sensitivities and a tree pollen allergy. Seems to be getting more and more common :(

Not sure about Lakelands but Wire Fox Terriers can have very sensitive skin thankfully mine doesn't. But I still use special shampoo and dilute it down just incase though she can become itchy if some shampoo is left on her. She is also on James Wellbeloved (as other dog has sensitive stomach). Not really much help :)
