Any ideas what I can try for our itchy lab puppy? He has been Frontlined and bathed but still seems to itch his belly and chew his legs very regularly. He is on James Wellbeloved food, which he has been on since weaning. I have ordered some Aloe Vera spray to try but I'd love to hear any ideas why he may be itchy or other ways to ease it.

What does the vet say? It might be a skin irritation that needs a medicated shampoo or something like that?

I'm guessing that's him in your sig in which case - what a little charmer

If you ever get fed up with him you can always post him to me!

Food (inc ingredient) allergy, allergy to grass or pollen, allergy to household substances, carpet, intolerance to medication, parasites, an obsessive urge, it could be any number of things.
I -think- I have narrowed my dog down to a grass or pollen allergy due to where he is getting irritated and the times of year he is affected.

I feel your pain, but Aloe Vera gel is great to ease the itching and reduce heat.
Malaseb shampoo, but only twice a week at the most!

my boxer has similar itchy issues -

he has been treated with Malaseb shampoo in the past.
I'm currently using a food supplement "Bionic Biotic" - is a bluechip supplement - which x Fingers Crossed x seems to have his skin issues under control!

good luck with your puppy

xx

Allergy testing, ask your vet about them, it will give u a better idea of food stuffs to avoid if any and environmental factors if any.

Edited to say, if u don't have insurance, now is a good time to get it
