Now this has only started to happen to me in the last couple of weeks - it is not really cold at the mo (ok 5 degrees to me is not cold) but when i have a bath and get out and start to dry - my legs have started to itch like mad and it hurts !

Toes are fine - the worst is the front of my legs, knees and top of thigh - the water is not particulay hot - the washing powder is the same, the soap is the same, nothing has been changed in the last few months - anyone else get this in this type of weather ? (it normally has to be well in to the minus before i get any sort of chill blanes)

I suffer with really dry skin and it flakes if I don't moisturise well.I wonder if the itching is related to the same thing??
Failing that it is possible for you to become allergic to a product you have been using for years with no problems so try a change of soap/washingpowder.

i find my skin dries out more in winter. as soon as you get out of bath pad your skin dry with towel (don't rub as takes moisture) and slap moisturiser on straight away. could also used talcum powder?

I have exzema and ripping my legs apart right now, thank God its not skirt season

Yes, I get much drier and therefore itchy skin at this time of year. Just get some good body lotion

Have you tried something like E45 Cream? You can get a huge 350g tub for about £7 ish from large supermarkets - it's brilliant for dry skin in the winter and even sunburn in the summer.

You're getting Chillblains.

Never get in to a hot bath, when you've been cold. Make sure it is tepid only. This will help your body warm up slowly, without overreacting and having this horrid reaction.

And if you get a very bad attack you can take an antihistamine, which will calm it down.
