The other day I caught Ron rubbing the inside of his thigh on his haylage box, and making the most obscenely pleasured face (he doesn't really show that he's enjoying anything like this!). When I managed to remove him from it, the hair on the inside of both thigh's is sort of scuffed, and felt a bit odd (not quite greasy, but not right either). The skin underneath felt fine. Even me running my fingers over it was enough to set him off again.
Spoke to the farrier when he was there the next day and he thought it was caused by a discharge from his boy bits, so I cleaned that, and then hibiscrubbed his legs to get anything off them. There wasn't anything unusual in or around his boy bits when I cleaned the area, and it was only done relatively recently.
That all seemed to help for a day or two. But this morning he was scratching himself on the haylage box again... totally at a loss. His skin still feels ok, the hair feels normal again just a little scuffed up.
Anyone got any ideas?
