Right. Have a few problems with my field and was wondering if any of you geniuses could think of a solution/give me your opinions on my solutions to make it slightly more 'Horsey Friendly'!! ;)

Right, problem number 1: One end of the field is very boggy where all the water from the yard runs down into it when it rains (was thinking if just fencing it off for winter??) :o

Problem 2: There is NO shelter...not even tree's and baring in mind the pony will be out 24/7 i'm slightly stuck for idea's? (Cant really put up a shelter, but are there any other slightly more portable options?) am also wondering/hoping there was some magical shield from the weather?!?!

Thank-you and big cuppa for everyone who can help

Re the boggy area, can't you dig a small channel to take the run off from the yard to a drain or at least to a different place? Would be worth it in the long run as it would make the usable area of the field larger. Re the shelter, you can do something with straw bales as long as they are secure. Don't need to make a structure with a roof (although you could rig something up with a tarpaulin over the bales) just 3 sides to give the same sort of shelter a hedge would.
