Tonight for the very first time ever with my horse I got him in, tacked him up, took him into the school, got on and rode for 40 minutes all totally on my own.
So what I can hear your chorus I do that every day.
Well......
Two years ago I had the mother of all falls ended up being airlifted to hospital and spending 6 months looking at my newly bought youngster (present from OH) as I was too smashed up to do anything with him.
Just as I was becoming brave enough to get on my newly backed youngster he managed to break himself and needed 6 months off. For the last 6 months both now being fit enough to actually do something he has had lots of training and I have had lots of lessons, and I freely admit that i still felt scared stiff half the time.
So tonight was a a bit of a big deal but we did it.
Confidence does come back all be it slowly.
