A year ago tomorrow I had my gorgeous boy Winks PTS. It's been the worst year. I've had nothing but rubbish and I'm in tears already.

My friends having a bday bbq tomorrow which I'm going to to keep my mind off it. I wanted to do something to "mark" it, but couldn't think of anything... Just can't believe it's been a whole year since I last had a Winks cuddle!

He was the most wonderful pony ever. I miss him so much.

Sorry about the depressing post. Just feeling glum and needed to write it down and have a sob.

had him 10 yrs... He was the ultimate. SJ, XC, DR, County showing. My YM even rode him to her wedding (don't have those photos on my comp.... they are stunning). I shared him the last 6 months with a 12 yr old girl who did PC on him and they had an absolute blast. I would have trusted him with my life. He was a saint.
 
What a lovely looking horse. I'm sorry you're finding it so hard. I think the plant a tree thing is a good idea too.

I spend ages of an evening up at the yard, last one there, saying goodnight to my boy, I'm sure people think I'm mad but whilst I've got the time I like to spend it with him as I know one day I might not be able to devote so much time to him and one day he will be gone. Those moments with them are gold dust.
 
He's the spitting image of my most favourite horse ever i had Molly Malone my old connemara x arab 14.2hh mare.

Oh Bless!! how about a silverbirch tree, but the pain does ease over the years. Funny I always dream about my old 4 now going on 20 years since they went, than my current 4 and the ones that went after them.

I'm so sorry for you, It's the most horrible part of having horses. Planting a tree for him would be a lovely idea, thats what I did for my boy cooper last year, and every time i pass the tree, it reminds of him. (Apple tree is what I planted, as he loved apples!). Smile through the tears for all the good times. My thoughts are with you. XXX
