How come when your not looking for a job there is always loads of vacancies going but as soon as you decide that its time to move on you cant find anywhere suitable. I am at my wits end I am serously giving leaving my job some thought but dont want to quit then not able to find another so im looking now and cant find anything, its sods law about 3 months ago there was loads of jobs advertised.
Sorry for the rant but just needed to get it of my chest.
(P S if anyone one knows of a vacancy in the surrey area please pm me cheers x)

You've got to be really determined.

I was made redundant v suddenly & unexpectedly earlier in the year. I applied to ALL the agencies I could find & joined ALL the websites & set up vacancy alerts so I got sent e mails every day of anything suitable. Then I applied for EVERY job that I was remotely qualified to do.

Not a lot happened at first except for the usual ott enthusiastic phone calls from agencies that you then never hear from again. It took about 4 to 5 weeks for me to start getting some interviews, then I had 6 in the space of two weeks & was offered a job & two 2nd interviews, then accepted the job from my 1st second interview.

It WILL happen, but you need to be applying for stuff & joining sites etc every day & set yourself daily targets of applying/joining. Stay focussed & you'll get your results.
