My baby who ive had since a 4yr old who i brought to event decided to pack in the xc once and for all at the begining of this year, and rather than wasting his talent, we thought i'd sj him. However i was giving another horse to event, and running 2 horses just isnt feesable atm.

Mum has just had a veryyy long convosation with my sj instructor, and he has decided that he is happy to take the ride, to increase his value to then sell in about a years time.

That's a harsh economic reality you've had to face, not an easy decision but if your heart lies in eventing and you've got a good ride to go with then what else can you do. At least you can keep track of his progress while he's with your instructor.

He really is amazing

Just so frustrating, as hes so talented, but he just doesnt want to do it

Instuctor said come see/ride him whenever and get to see him compete.. just hope when hes sold they cherish him as much as i do

thanks for the hugs every one xx

Awwww hugs, I have one to sell Jan/Feb time for the exact same reasons; he prefers SJ to eventing but I don't

He looks fab in the pics and I'm sure you'll find him an awesome home.

What a shame - he looks a cracking type of horse and looks to be really relishing the xc in those pics too

Sure you are doing the best for him though if he has decided it is not for him.

yea he absoloutly loves the big bold straightforward fences, but he just cantget over his issues with steps/ditches etc.. I have had him for 3 1/2 years so after trying to find way to make him see that there not going to eat him etc, thought it was best to let him do what he loved, and hes also a very good sjer, so i just hope he enjoys it and does well :S
