Bonjourno :D Madam hasnt done much as of late due to various reasons. She took a reaction to her vaccination and the previous week she stopped at a scarey filler and the incident went like so ... rear, spin rear (at this stage i was thinking "Wow this is a pretty spactacular rear ") then we leapt into a bolt bucking mabob which concluded with me on the floor in alot of pain! She completely freaks out if you lose a stirrup so the lesson was, dont lose your stirrup and were a BP whilst jumping ;) Anyway, it was very painful and after 2 ibuprofin and some paracetamol I was still in pain so alas we were stuck with hacking for a few days and then moved into a few painful minutes of canter, also *NOTE TO SELF - If you have a sore back DO NOT attempt canter poles, it hurts ALOT!!!*
Nice scenery ..

"Can we go for a canter again mummy?!"

We have to go over a motorway bridge to go around the lakes, which scares me but Annie the baby 4yr with the brain of a 10yr thinks nothing of it :D

She got her teeth done last week and thankfully she stood like a rock apart from karate kicking some flys :p I was very relieved she was soooo good as tbh I thought she would have to be sedated!! Jumped her last Fri and i was in the thinking "Oh bummer we havent jumped since the filler incident, what if iv scared her for life!!" But she was a wee gem and popped over everything :) Oh and she now hacks completely alone with no walker and is a super duper happy hacker, i think thats pretty good for a 4yr :D

So today we done some much needed flatwork and she was a little star. Ive started riding her in spurs for flatwork now as she is a bit of a lazy toad and makes life very difficult at times. We have tried giving her a tap with the whip but she just throughs her head up in disgust and goes even slower, wereas if she drops behind my leg with the spurs i can give her a bit of a poke and send her on with no hassel so were both happy campers :) She has quite a stuffy little trot so we have been working on getting it more forwards and hopefully more swingy!! Must think FORWARDS, FORWARDS, FORWARDS!! ... I do so love her canter though, she really steps under and covers the ground, well imo :p Still need to work on her bendy-ness on circles and corners as she likes to fall in, so lots of work still to be done but i think she could pull off a decent DR test in the future
I like this picture apart from I think her legs got confused ;)

And we have FORWARDS momentum :D

"Look mummy theres a trailer, i wonder whom is in it?!!" lol

Annie decided to try some Rolkur  I think her thinking was "If i go like this i cant see the scarey monsters!"

And then "No wait if i do a giraffe impression i can see all the scarey monsters and can make my escape quickly"

Lovely, she's so purty! Also love the ping in the last one :)

Looks like you have class facilities as well, where are you based? (Can ask in hope of visiting in competition clothing some day now that Monty and I are members of the Northie brigade ;))

Looking lovely :D
Trish that is the meadows, you will know all about it as that is where most of the comps are held over winter :D

Trish - Yep as Only_me said its the Meadows Eq Centre in Lurgan ( you can google it and it should come up) :) They hold lots of SJI and training shows but we are lucky enough this week that the DI finals are here on Sun so I dont have to travel far to watch :D Thats just the little warm up arena, theres two big jumping arenas at either side and another warm up ... it is lovely :)

Binky - Last time i measured her she was 16.2hh but i think she has unfortunately grown  I do hope she has stopped as it really does hurt when she catapaults me into things lol

Ooh, Lurgan, very handy :D Thanks for the heads up on the DI finals, may nip along and have a peek as well! :)

Yeap and the best part is there is always a chippy van at the shows :p I cant wait to watch the poncey ponys (something for Annie to aspire to ;)) tbh watching SJI every week is rather boring!!
