It's Carnival time again for Bert!

Bert is leading our town carnival this evening and has just left to hack the one and a half miles to the start, he is astonishing really, he gets ridden once a year and normally behaves very well. He is actually as fit as a flea as this time of year he has been fence running after his mares all summer, and it takes two feeds a day to keep him even covered in flesh.
He starts the parade then bounces almost two miles through the streets, then hacks home again.
This year they are in a Confederate Soldier's uniform, we do tend to run out of ideas after 12 carnival processions!
