Scary outside at the minute

Its blowing a gale and my attic door keeps on banging and opening , Electric went off earlier, I have just fetched my wheelie bin and brought it into the outside porch. Im worried about the caravan at the side of the house

Fence is down again, just waiting for the roof to take off

Horses are in thank god and the doors to the barn is shut .

Im seriously sh1tting myself , its that loud

We had those horrendous gales 2 nights ago - I felt like I was in Oz!! Thought the blooming house was going to blow away.

We are expecting a snow storm tonight so you will likely see the aftermath of that, late tomorrow. But then it is going to be calm for a few days.

How much wind is needed to overturn a caravan ?? Im guessing not alot but wondering whether need to take precaution ?

Same here, went up to bring them in early as it is horrendous wind and snow and thought i'd spend a bit of time grooming, half way thro the first one, the power went off. I thought i would just do her mane first, lifted conditioner spray, liberal skoosh and realised it was fly spray. Don't think there will be a lot of them around at mo'.
Weather warnings here for tonight and tomorrow.
Hope your caravan is still in one piece colleen.

i got called in to work today as all our aircraft were being diverted as they couldnt land at luton.

loads of flights cancelled!
and its too get worse tomorrow - joy!

We're getting it here now!! Our yard is only 4 mins up the road but tonight the whole road coming back down was covered in debris from all the trees along that road. It was like running the guantlet! I hate trees in high wind, really scarey! Thank goodness pony club was cancelled tonight!

Very windy here too. Is it me or has it been a very windy winter?!

We have heavy snow forecast here overnight and tomorrow. Lets just hope its enough that I dont have to go to work...

Well not long in from checking the horses, Our new livery has finally decided to bring her horse in , So Yo has cleared out the other stable so for the first time so many years , We have a full yard

have another 2 more new liveries , So Puzzle, Tulsa, Jasper, dark bay horse who's name I dont know yet, Missy, Tommy, Lily and Cody are all nice and cosy in their stables

Our road is like that keisha , Im sure you know of the glenshane pass but we are just off that road , and its lined with trees all down one side of the road which makes it worse as the wind just hits the trees and branches flying everywhere .

Its settled alittle but I have a feeling the phrase " calming before the storm" may come a reality .

Oh Colleen you always get it bad on Glenshane Pass, but what a beautiful part of the country.. It always snows there first! Seems to be just raining here and storms, hope there's no snow as the whole country grinds to a halt!
