Yeah right.....now im of to adopt a spangle LMAO.....I hate this place, and how in the hell can I take the P when I cannot even active the crap smilies....seriously the crap smilies are enough to make me go.
 
Well your not axactly encouraging me to stay....how can I take the pee out of you or Cavey or Slinky if I have no good smilies to do so.....it's crap and unfair (stomps feet).
I hate the reply thingy, it's crap, everything is crap.

You had me worried there! I'm not keen on this new forum yet, seems very slow, and despite clear instructions from slinky I still can't get smilies working. Don't seem to have an advanced options box which accroding to her should be there :(.

Ets Before anyone points out I have a smilie on this post, I used the colon and bracket method.
 
MM you have to click go advanced, right next to the post quick reply button....or type in the code, like you just did! :p
 
So when I do a reply, I have a list of smilies next to my reply box, but it wont let me double click to insert one like we used to? How do I put them in, as I dont know the shortcuts for all of them?

You should be able to click on them glazey, unless you have the browser issue I had earlier, I couldnt quick reply either though. :confused:
 
Gazey - you need to go to User CP - top left - go to Edit Options, scroll tot he bottom to Miscellaneous something or other - two option in the drop down - the default is Basic you need to click on standard then click on change/save options at the bottom. Then when you reply to posts you will get a box of smilies to insert like before.:D
 
Can you quick reply Gazey? I'm running Firefox too, I closed it and restarted then it all worked, it hasn't died again yet.

There doesn't seem to be a drop down on miscellaneous :( And vizlak, I tried clicking advanced, its giving me a smiley next to the title not in the message I don't think, unless one shows up here.

I'm going off to sulk now, off in morning for weekend in London, maybe I'll be able to sort it on my return.
 
Nope it is a Firefox glitch - I just activated it using Google Chrome and it worked, have come back to Firefox and it doesnt again...

I hate Google Chrome, I dont wanna use it all the time :(
 
Right you two!! MM and Cayla...... go to user CP...edit options....scroll to bottom to message editor interface, change basic editor to standard editor and then save the changes...it should work then.......please god! :D
 
Fingers crossed this works, I tried logging out and on again and found the miscellaneous box. Sorry if it does Cayla, but if I can do it anyone can, and if it doesn't I will look a bigger prat. :):o

YESS ! I'm going to quit while I'm ahead, off to write realms of instructions for my animal sitter.

So why wont it work for me using Firefox then Vizslak? :confused::p:D:
 
Cos it doesn't bloody work for me using it either! :p
I have to say its been ok since this afternoon but I'm expecting the error to reoccur...I asked the fatcontroller and he was no use whatsoever!
My firefox has updated to a newer version today at some point, perhaps that fixed the problem?
