Yes,I was out in the field when it started so I had to dash in to my lads mobile stable for a bit of shelter! I had to brave it in the end or I would have been there all day as it is still heavy now. My horse was out in it as I had just let him out!
My ditches are positively surging round the field and the road is now completely flooded as the road ditches cannot cope. Fingers crossed my ditches continue to do their job. I long for a few days of dry!

I am totally and utterly fed up with it, poured with heavy rain since about 5am which woke me and it's finally easing but not stopping yet.

oh yes! and has been for weeks.

We have an outside school which is well basically a pond! Horses seem quite happy though doing their horses of the Carmargue impression!

If I had my own grazing and feed shelter I would just say stuff it have a holiday till March horsey!.

Yes, pouring here too. I did want to get them out especially Manni as he hunted yesterday and needs to relax and stretch his legs today.

But the forecast says it will brighten up about lunchtime, so I think they can stay cosy for now and go out later.

It's dry at the moment but i thik it has been raining earlier on. The forecast says it is going to be dry this arvo, so fingers crossed it is!!!!! I'm in Sussex by the way!

OK, tempting the gods now but it is bright blue sky, fluffy clouds & sun!!!!

However, a 8 this morning it was blowing and lashing down. Adjacent farmer's field is now flooded in places I've not seen before

Yes. Since 2pm yesterday. All night. Fed horses at 6.30am and there was a bit of damp on the wall in the barn. Went to skip out and give more hay at 10am and the bl))dy place was flooded!! The ground is so saturated that it can't take any more and the water has been pouring through the stone wall that is partially underground. We've spent the last hour sandbagging, sweeping water and setting up a siphoning pipe to take the water out. Fortunately it was in the unused end of the barn and Ari was just getting his toes wet when we arrived.

Not now but was lashing it down at half 8. Clearish skies and sunshine to help dry up some of the wet. Hope it stays like this for a few days *crosses fingers*

Just checked on Metcheck and we are forecast more rain tomorrow

It was bucketing down when I put the horses out, and then for the entire duration of my mucking out. I looked like a drowned rat when I came in and now the sun has come out. Typical

Its not raining now but it was this morning. I had no choice but to turn Gin out as I have to go to work.
Gin has a stream running through her field and down the walkway. Poor love hates mud too. Luckily her field is on a slope so its not wet at the top. Im fed up of all this rain! Id much prefer it cold and dry.

The weather is reaching almost Biblical proportions here but just remember that rain and mud are supposedly very good for the complexion! Just grit teeth, wear heavy duty waterproofs, put the blinkers on and keep galloping.
- and if any half-witted "official" decides that we need a hose-pipe ban next summer ..... !!
