It's late. Why are you all still here?

Just wondering. Don't you have beds to go to? Horses to get up for in the morning? And yet look, so many of us are still here. Me, I have no excuse. Just a slight obsession with horsey forums and a bit of a night owl anyway. OH tends to go up about 11, leaving me snoozing on the sofa, then I wake up to let the dogs out and have a last H&H fix. Sometimes that can last until the wee hours, if there's a good thread running. Sad, really. Any more night owls out there?

Combination of night owl and I've been sick as a parrot most of the day so napping, now I'm wide awake of course.

And bored. Very bored.

Me :) I can't go to sleep early. I don't have horses to do in the morning as my friend does mornings on weekends :) so lie in time. OH not in from work til 2am so probably wait up for him.

I'm looking at geek themed merchandise on t'internet in the vague pretence of having a pre-Christmas recky for potential presents. In reality, I'm just sniggering at Star Trek references and other rubbish. I have no excuse, other than an addiction to looking at mindless junk online.

And we seem to have just rehomed a new dog in the last half hour :confused3:

Just been round to my sister's house for a meal and a film, now back home and having a cup of tea before bed. Will be up early to see to the horses before going to the running club at 8.30!! Best get to bed sharpish!

Oooh, I thought of doing my christmas shopping online too...then I got sidetracked into H&H again. But I did buy OH a cheesemaking kit which arrived today. Hidden under the sideboard now.

Good work! I like early Christ-min - none of the stress of last minute panic buying! I have compiled a list of things to be ordered over the next couple of weeks :)

I've done a tiny bit of Xmas shopping online. Bought a Secret Santa a little pressie and it arrived today and I like it and want to keep it :biggrin3: Should have bought 2.

oooo Cheesemaking kit. I saw those in the Lakeland catalogue and had a rosy hued five minute dream where I go all Nigella and make my own cheeses. Then reality crashed back in and I remembered I'm not a domestic goddess.

I find I just don't have much time to sleep so I go to bed late and get up early, run around like a maniac all day and forget to eat and drink. I swear I need to go back to live with the parents to be cared for! My husband and I don't stop, we have just been out in the yard visiting our chickens...

I require very little sleep, and T'Khasi is out 24/7 at the moment, so very little to do at yard, aside from check over, groom and lay harness over back. Though we may do some loose schooling tomorrow. Congrats on random new dog, JFTD.

<wonders if anyone would like a random cat or seven...>

I have those moments. The only time I go all domestic goddess on folk is in the production of speciality spirits. Food? No chance, it's drink all the way here!

eta, thanks. Already have 3 cats and don't feel the need to round up to double figures yet, ta! We just seem to acquire new animals from time to time. It's like they gravitate towards us...

The older I get the less time I can spare for sleep. Life seems to get more and more busy...the jobs list gets longer and longer. I'm down to one horse for the first time in 4 years, and I thought it would help...but not so far, Dogs, kids, chickens, a new (old) lorry to do up, a house needing work, stable at the new yard needing painting and sorting. I don't know how I ever managed to have an actual full time job!

Honestly, I'm on the sofa with a 4 dog blanket draped on me, Dan is on the other end of the sofa planning a route for a day out he has organised with a mate tomorrow and I just cannot be bothered to move. Oh, and tomorrow is Sunday anyway.

DOH....it's today now isn't it. I may also have had some margaritas :-)

Tomorrow I shall be mostly rearranging Molly's stable as she is moving into Flys big stable and I want to reconfigure the rubber mats and put a storage trunk in there with a padlock. It's huge so looks really daft with no horse in it, lol.

Then I think I shall come home, do eff all, logon here and watch catch up TV as been on here but whilst catching up on work today and I really need a slob day to stave off this cold that's trying to set in.

Lol, people keep dumping cats on us! The local CPL seem to have a foolproof refusal system for new entrants, tis irksome...where do they keep getting cats from? As they certainly don't accept any of the following:

4 week old dumped kittens
Semi feral abused housecats
Friendly, well housetrained housecats whose owner has died

Never mind, the mad catlady will take them...

Always come on at this time. Total insomniac. Have just let the dogs out, checked to see if there are any horses within range - there aren't - cup of tea and up up to bed with a cuppa, the crossword and a good book. OH thinks I'm mad but it works for me. Won't be asleep until 3a.m.ish. Up at 7, and then knackered after lunch. I wonder why....

Talking of Xmas presents. I need to think what I want. I am due to be asked soon by Mother and possibly OH if he remembers that he needs to be planning my gift :p

NO idea what I want. Just flicking through horse stuff sites and nothings grabbing me.

eta: gawd these smileys are deranged looking, I should learn the rest of the Group3 smileys codes while I'm at a loose end.

Dog is pushing me off the sofa by digging his feet into my kidnies! Cat is sitting on top of the fish tank spitting out the bits of food he dislikes. They keep landing on my head. And the fish tried to eat husband's finger when he fed them today...

At least the pony has manners!

<offers strangely cat shaped parcels around as xmas pressies...>

Because I sat with one of my lovely rabbits as he passed away, was about to leave for emergency vets but it was clearly too late :'(

Im on here at this time because I cant sleep tonight. I read about the new appeal for Madeleine McCann and cuddled my youngest son thinking what horrors her parents are going through.
Anyway, I must get to sleep at some time because we are going to Weston Horse Trials early tomorrow, and I have to muck out before I go!!!!
