Y I don't think the mare has been pushed for her age - she seems to have competed mainly in young horse classes.

This doesn't necessarily mean a young horse has not been pushed - young horse classes are extremely demanding, the 5yo class is a Medium test and the 6yo class an Advanced Medium!

For a horse of her talent medium is not so hard. Remember she is under behind and up in her shoulders by nature so it is not necessary to ask a lot to achieve the required degree of collection and the movements are not so hard if the horse is in a position to do them. I agree that for more normal horses medium would be quite hard at 5 but all the qualities that the mare has naturally have to be developed so putting strain on the body.

For 5 mil I'd flog it!!!
