Where do you get the harnesses from? I have a Newfie and would love to have a go! (Is that Peddars Way?)

We get our harnesses from www.snowpawstore.co.uk they have a mesuring guide for off the peg but you can get made to measure harnesses too

The pics are from all round the UK I have borrowed them off friends just to show everyone that there is otherways they can exercise their dogs

I'd love to have a go at that (perhaps not with Stella, though

).

I saw a man running with two Huskies the other day in Central Park. They were kitted out with a very similar sort of harness contraption, minus the vehicle at the back. I think I'd rather be pulled along.

Jogging season is also upon us for me and Stells, but she's nowhere near in the league of those huskies--they must have been doing six-minute miles

The sport is called Canicross over here Prose its developing in a big way this last year, a lot of us do it in the late summer days to start building the dogs fitness up for the coming season

Thanks, he IS rather gorgeous!! We have a waiting list of people who want one of his puppies, unfortunately the few times we put him with his prospective wife he was worse than useless. Ran around shouting 'hallo girly' in a goofy sort of way, then spent 20 minutes trying to make babies with her ear. And then she bit him (well you would, wouldn't you?).

It is ironic, on Saturday afternoon I saw a dog trailer with stickers of a GSD and a husky on it, and I said out loud 'that it a cross of two breeds I could never have' - I have a very high octane GSD from working lines so I imagine crossed with a husky-type breed it would be even harder work

And then I came home to see this picture.....

Some things aren't meant to be - we had a fantastic bitch, lovely brood type, a few years ago but she would eat anything that came near her, even when she was ready to stand, there were quite a few confused, beaten up dogs, we took her all the way to England once for her to almost make a sandwich out of a lovely German import

a few months ago at my local country park there was some sort of club meeting going on with harness dogs

but...

they were all 'big' breeds like newfies and gsds

and...

they were pulling little miniature home-made wooden carts with wooden shafts and all - a bit like mini farm carts! Actually they more like something people stick in the front garden and plant flowers in. The dogs were being led around rather than driven (if that's the term).

I couldn't tear my eyes away. Am I the only peerson to think that's really really weird?
