Today was the big day that I got to bring my princess home! She loaded extremely well this morning and traveled like a star. She jumped off the trailer (she's unhandled and didn't want to be lead off) so ran into the field with the lead rope around her back!! She jumped over the electric fence and snapped it so is now running in a small paddock! Took 3 hours to get the lead rope off her and for her to eat from my hand and now i'm home having a brew while she settles in!

Tonnes of photo's and a video to come, so give me a while to download them from photobucket (facebook album didn't work)

(Hope that works)
All in all, AMAZING DAY<3

I know how you feel, my little girl arrived a week last Friday - :) It's exciting! Can't wait to see your photos.

(Lead rope was removed so no hazards for her) :)

Well done for having the patience to take 3 hours to get the leadrope off. :) I'm sure that taking the time that she needs will be something that you will need to do again as she's not very well handled. I'm looking forward to reading about her progress and seeing lots more photos of her.

It would be worth looking at fieldsafe headcollars if you want to leave one on her.

How exciting- Congrats! She is adorable- so pretty too. I'm looking forward to following your progress together on here, so keep the pics coming! :)

I can imagine her all dolled up and in a coloured class. :D

Have you read Benson's posts about her driving escapades with her lovely pony? It looks like such fun. :)

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments!

Missy Update: Day 2

This morning I went to the paddock and found Missy stood at the top looking down at us, my stepdad and I went into the paddock and started walking around the field looking down (got told it would help her quiet down and not think we were predators) Much to our surprise Missy trotted down to see us, ears pricked!! She stopped pretty close to us but still didn't want to be handled so we ignored her and looked at the view. She then ate some carrots we put in a bucket and left it on the floor, went up to her, picked it up and took to the bottom where she followed us again!! Now saying that yesterday she was doing everything to get away from us this is a huge step and it's only day 2!! Very proud Sammy<3
