Many of you here know about the awful circumstances I lost my horse of my lifetime Koko. If you do not know he died very suddenly of EAM a condition believed to be caused by toxins in the pasture. He was competing Friday evening and qualified for a national champ and by 3pm the next day he was dead.

The worst thing about his death was he was the 3rd horse to die from EAM in that pasture and YO had no intention of informing any owners of this in case he lost their business. What mad eit even worse is after the second horse he was told under no circumstances should another horse be grazed in that field.

So what does he do after Koko dies and we leave the yard? Yep you got it put more horses in that bloody field.

Well 2 years later I have finally got the horses taken from the field by contacting the owner who had the wool pulled over her eyes and told it was yew tree poisoning that killed the horses. Luckily I got in contact with her just in time as she was saying how her horse wasn't right and was dropping weight. As soon as I got in contact she removed her horse from the field and found a new yard asap. The gateway is now blocked and there is no access to that field.

It's only taken 2 years and 3 deaths but finally something has been done and I can finally stop worrying. Sadly the horrible YO is still in business and still spreading rubbish about me and my horses but at least for now the horses there are safe.

I remember your original sad post and your fight to get people aware of EAM and the difficult task trying to get the YO to do something. Well done, you have probabley saved that horses life and the owner will be indebted to you and will join you in spreading the word.

Well done you for not giving up, I know someone who lost two horses to atypical myopathy and it's a really terrible thing, I'd not heard of it before this. Some YO are so full of greed, what an awful thing to do to people who have no idea what happened there previously.

I remember your posts and they were heartbreaking.
So glad a result has finally happened, although I agree that it shouldn't have taken this long and with the 3 deaths x
