I don't see the point in riding in the rain, my horse does not enjoy it, makes him spooky as hell, so not worth the hassle!
That's when accidents happen.
And it's bad enough driving in the rain and wind to get to the yard!
And then you have to worry about cars etc. seeing you, even if you are hi vized to the hilt, they still don't slow down and go hurtling through puddles!
No thanks, we shall just stay tucked up for the day!
No - as I'm flying to blazing sunshine this evening for 3 weeks
Funny thing is though, the person who was responsible for filling our indoor school with metalic C£$p, has now decided that he doesn't like riding in the rain either had has started emptying it
No riding for me today - as I'm lunching with another HHOer and there won't be time. Not really a problem as horse doesn't need keeping fit for competition and is happily mooching around in the field.
Yes in the indoor, although it'll be after I've mucked them both out again, and will have to ride them both aswell because they're in today, why oh why didn't I persue tap dancing as a hobby?
I am going driving... wearing a full length Barbour and wraped in a blanket! I will tie another couple of horses on behind... = all horses exercised in 1 hit!
Well its still raining here and I have the same problem, didn't ride over weekend through avoiding foul weather and being totally lazy so i've got to ride today!!! All three of them!!! Wonder if I can get someone to take some pics of the aftermath as I have a feeling the drowned rat look will take prevalence today!!!
Anyone wanna come and ride with me?
There's actually traces of blue sky in manchester this morning, which is a good thing as I've got my lesson soon... I think the school might be a bit waterlogged though
Yes I have ridden already this morning as I do every morning whatever the weather - it was not raining - it was HAILING! God how much worse can it get. I had no gloves, my hands were freezing and so were my legs - cantering two horses across the moor with no feeling in your hands is NOT fun!
